SVMCM Scholarship 2023-24
This Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who are unable to afford their education and encourages them to pursue higher education. Every year, the application process for this scholarship begins in July/August month on the SVMCM 4.0 portal. This year many dedicated and deserving students were eagerly waiting for the SVMCM 2023-24 application process.
This SVMCM 2023-24 will be given to students from Class XI and XII/ Undergraduate/ Postgraduate Students Pursuing Studies in Regular Mode degree, therefore all the students will be benefited from this scholarship, thus the West Bengal Government has launched this scholarship.

Type of SVMCM Scholarship
Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme (SVMCM) 2024 covers students pursuing their studies at various levels, including Higher Secondary (Class 11 and 12), undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level courses.
SVMCM Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
The candidate who have passed in the year 2022, 2021, or 2020 with –
- Undergraduate(Arts and Commerce/Science/Other Professional and UGC Approved Courses) – At least 60% marks in the last qualifying exam.
- Postgraduate (Arts and Commerce/Science/Other Professional and UGC approved courses) – At least 53% marks in last qualifying exam/At least 53% marks for SVMCM and 45% for Kanyashree (K3 applicants in last qualifying exam.
- Higher Secondary (HS) – At least 60% marks in last qualifying exam.
- Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) – At least 60% marks in last qualifying exam (Minimum Qualification, HS)
- UG (Engineering) – Undergraduation: 1. 60% marks 2. 60% marks in Diploma Course from WBSCTVE&SD for lateral entry scheme.
- PG (Engineering) – 55% marks in Graduation from any State University/AICTE approved institutes in West Bengal.
- Other AICTE-approved Professional Courses – 55% marks in Graduation from any State University/AICTE approved institutes in West Bengal.
- Polytechnic (Diploma Courses) – At least 60% marks in last qualifying exam.
- UG (Medical-Degree) and Diploma Courses – At least 60% marks in last qualifying exam.
Income Criteria
Family income of Rs. 2,50,000 /- per annum or below for all candidates applying for the SVMCM Scholarship 2023-24.

SVMCM Scholarship is given to all the students from class degree holders. The scholarship amount varies as per the class of the students depending on the Education cost fee of the candidate. The West Bengal Government has announced the SVMCM Scholarship in 2016, From that year Students have been greatly benefited by the Scholarship. Students studying in regular mode of Class XI and XII, and also a under Graduate level in Science/Arts/Commerce student , Engineering, Medical and Technical / Professional courses And also Post Graduate level students pursuing Science/Arts/Commerce & Technical/Management students can take the advantage of the renowned Scholarship.
What is the Last Date of SVMCM Scholarship 2023 -24 application?
The application process has been extended till 31st March for both of Renewal Application or Fresh Application.
Recquired Document
Documents to be uploaded by Fresh and Kanyashree Applicants:
- Candidate parents Income Certificate (Format)
- School or collage or institute Admission Receipt
- Marksheet of last Board/Council/University/College Examination (both sides)
- Photo copy of bank passbook including the first page containing account number and IFSC
- Domicile certificate such as Aadhaar Card/Ration Card/Voter ID Card issued by the concerned authority
- The declaration of the Head of the Institution related the cause of the gap year. This option will appear only if the applicant selects the year of the qualifying examination as 2022 or earlier in the process of registration.
- This point to be notied While uploading a scanned copy of image and signature, applicants are advised to maintain file format and file size as mentioned below.
- Image and signature format should be JPG/JPEG and size should be in between 20KB-50KB and 10KB-20KB respectively.
- After successful submission of application forms, ‘Scanned Supporting Document Upload’ form will appear. Applicants are advised to upload all necessary documents as mentioned in the form.
- While uploading, applicants must maintain the file format and file size, as mentioned below:
- Files should be in PDF format and size should not exceed 400KB.
Documents to be uploaded for Renewal Application:
- A Copy of the marksheet of the last examination in the present course of study. (Both sides and in case of semester examination system, both semester marksheets).
- Admission receipt for the promotion to the next higher class
- Previous Application ID

Hello My dear applicant here I am providing step by steps application process of Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship 2023-24 in brief is given below –
Registration Process
- Go to the Official Website of SVMCM Scholarship.
- Click on the ‘Register’ button available on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
- Applicants must select the appropriate category. Select Topper then
- Select the ‘Application Type’ as ‘Fresh Application’ followed with selection of ‘Apply for Fresh’ option and click on the ‘Proceed’ button.
- A new page will be open here you need to fill up all details with required credentsials.
Note:- If you are a applicants applying for Kanyashree scholarship are required to authenticate their previous Kanyashree details for registration under Kanyashree (K3) application.
- Click on the “registration” and an OTP will be generated and sent to the registered mobile number of the applicant. Applicants must enter the OTP in order to authenticate the verification procedure.
- After completing a successful verification of mobile number, an ‘Applicant Id’ will be generated. The login credentials will be sent to the registered mobile number and an email containing the Applicant ID and a copy of registration slip will also be shared on the registered Email ID.
Login Process
- Go to the official website and Click on “Applicant Login”
- Applicants should login with credensial using valid applicant ID and password.
- after login Click on ‘Edit Profile’ or ‘Edit Application’ to continue the application process
- Now you can fill up required details and upload necessary document
- Submit
Renewal process
- Go to the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship official website.
- Click on “applicant login” and log in by entering your Application ID, and Password.
- A new dashboard will opens, go to Application Details and select the “Edit Renewal Application” option.
- Then enter Bengalar Shikkha ID, Ration Card Number in Aadhaar Details.
- If who want to change bank credential, then enter new bank details otherwise skip this option.
- Now enter the Qualifying Exam details like the Year of Last Qualifying Exam, Institute Name, Total Marks obtained, etc.
- Now fill Present Course of Study & Institute Details like Name of Present Course, Date of Admission, Present Year of Study, Institute District/Sub-Division, etc. Then click on “Save & Continue”.
- Upload the documents like the Marksheet of the Last Examination, Admission Receipt, etc.
- Click on the “submit application” button and keep tracking the application status.
